Understanding your
leave options
Preparing for surgery often means dealing with a lot of unfamiliar terms ,FMLA, STD, ADA, EDD, LOA, Return-to-Work , and most people are never taught what they actually mean or how they work together.
Each type of leave serves a different purpose. Some protect your job. Some replace part of your income. Some determine when and how you return to work. None of them do everything on their own.

-
It does not guarantee accommodations
How The MedClearer™ helps:

What it does:
-
Evaluates whether a patient is medically stable to proceed with surgery
-
Includes required lab orders and clinical documentation
-
Provides medical clearance notes required by the surgeon.
What it does NOT do:
-
It does not approve employer leave
-
It does not guarantee insurance payment.
How The MedClearer™ helps:
If needed Dr. Bell completes all required medical clearance documentation for your surgeon.
You do not need to disclose medical details to HR initially.

Talking To HR
Your first HR conversation should answer:
Am I eligible for leave?
What type(s) of leave apply?
What forms are required?
Where do completed forms go?
What is the deadline?
You are gathering logistics, not permission.
